Budget or Bust!

How do you accurately predict your reno budget?

So you have an idea for a renovation. It could be a bathroom, kitchen, kid’s room, mud room, porch… so many variables.  Some jobs are straightforward, a new door, new carpet and paint.   But what about the jobs that require more thought, and how do you cost that out more accurately?

Creating a budget for a renovation job is absolutely necessary otherwise you can go wildly over, or have it become much more than you bargained for in the first place.  There’s few things worse than an out of control reno budget.  Have you ever been to a friend’s home and their “half done” bathroom or basement area is left partially finished because they ran out of money?

Design concepts, renovation specs, finishes, furnishings and accessories should be realistically the first steps to any renovation planning. Don’t bust your budget, plan for it.
